India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl against New Zealand in the second T20I of the five-match series on Saturday. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi comes in for the injured Ishan Kishan and will bat at No. 3.

India made two changes in all. Prince Yadav replaces Mayank Yadav. Iyer said the decision to field first was down to the dew factor. The match starts at 12:30 PM IST.

Kishan ruled out

The BCCI said Kishan sustained a low-grade right adductor strain during the first T20I and is ruled out of the second match. The Men’s Selection Committee has added Kumar Kushagra to the squad as cover.

Kushagra is an uncapped wicketkeeper-batter. He was part of the India A squad for the three-match unofficial Test series that begins on Saturday in Lincoln.

New Zealand change

New Zealand also made a change. Captain Mitchell Santner confirmed that Jacob Duffy replaces Adam Milne.

Series so far

India lead the series 1-0 after winning the opener on 22 October by four wickets. New Zealand made 225/4 in their 20 overs, and India finished on 230/6 in 19.4 overs.

Sanju Samson made 67 off 33 balls in that game, while Naman Dhir finished unbeaten on 42 off 15 balls.
