How we work

20 Oct 2026

MaidanBeat is a cricket website for fans in India. This page explains, plainly, how our pages are made.

Where our data comes from

Fixtures, start times, venues, squads and results come from official sources such as the governing bodies and tournament organisers, and from the cricket data service cricketdata.org. Our systems check these sources several times a day and after every match, and update schedules and results when they change. If the sources disagree or something looks wrong, we hold the update rather than publish a guess.

How articles are written

Match previews, match reports and series guides are drafted with AI assistance, using only the data described above. Every draft then goes through the MaidanBeat Desk editorial process: a separate review step checks each number, name, date and time against the source data and against our style guide. Drafts that cannot be verified are sent back for revision or rejected, and are not published.

We do not invent quotes, statistics, injuries or playing XIs. When we do not have a fact, we leave it out. Predictions and fantasy picks are our opinion, based on the data on the page, and are labelled as such.

Who is behind MaidanBeat Desk

“MaidanBeat Desk” is the name of our editorial process, not a single reporter. We do not use made-up bylines or fictional experts.

Times and corrections

All match times on MaidanBeat are shown in Indian Standard Time (IST). Schedules change, and we update pages when they do. If you spot an error, please let us know and we will correct it.
