Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna get red-ball run with India A
Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna, along with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, will use India A’s third and final four-day game against New Zealand A as preparation for the two-Test series. The match starts at 3:00 AM IST on Sunday, 8 November, and Business Standard describes New Zealand A as injury-ravaged.
India A are led by wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel. The Tests follow: the first in Wellington on 19 November and the second in Christchurch on 27 November.
Bumrah’s long wait
Bumrah last played in the Asian Games final on 3 October, Business Standard reports. He was preserved only for the red-ball leg of the New Zealand tour, and as part of workload management he was not picked for the ongoing five-match ODI series.
The India A squad around him includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal, Washington Sundar, Akash Deep, Manav Suthar, Kumar Kushagra and Tilak Varma.
