WPL 2027: Mumbai Indians trade for Tara Norris from UP Warriorz
Mumbai Indians have added USA bowler Tara Norris from UP Warriorz by trade, priced at Rs 0.10 crore, a Business Standard squad list for WPL 2027 records.
Separately, the WPL 2027 auction concluded in Kochi on Wednesday, with the five franchises filling 25 of the 27 available slots. UP Warriorz, who gave up Norris, completed an 18-member squad after eight signings.
How the auction ended
Australia’s Sophie Molineux was the costliest buy of the auction, signed by UP Warriorz for Rs 1.1 crore.
Delhi Capitals and defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru finished with 17 players each. UP Warriorz head coach Abhishek Nayar said the franchise went in focused on players who could strengthen the existing group and add flexibility across departments, the Tribune reported.
With the eight additions secured, UP Warriorz will now look to bring their squad together ahead of the WPL 2027 season.
