Australia women’s SA tour moved after Champions Trophy

Australia women’s first tour of South Africa has been rescheduled to come after the inaugural ICC Women’s Champions Trophy, the ICC has said. The first of three T20Is is listed for 24 March 2027 in Kimberley.

The new schedule

The tour opens with a three-match T20I series, followed by three ODIs and a one-off Test. The first ODI is listed for 3 April 2027 in Durban.

The Test, listed for 15 to 18 April 2027, will be played at Buffalo Park in KuGompo City. It will be the first Women’s Test at the venue.

The Champions Trophy

The Champions Trophy is set to take place in India between 14 and 28 February 2027, so the tour now begins after the tournament has finished.

Six teams are in the field: Australia, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Australia and South Africa are both among them.
