Mitchell Marsh to lead Australia v England; Cummins, Starc rested
Mitchell Marsh will continue to captain Australia in the white-ball series against England, with Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood all rested after the three-Test series in South Africa. Australia host England for three ODIs and five T20Is, with the opening match in Perth, cricket.com.au reports.
Mahli Beardman, Oliver Peake, Jack Edwards and Liam Scott have been named in the one-day squad, so Marsh’s limited-overs side now includes several new faces.
Who is rested and who returns
The three senior quicks have been given a break because a 10-Test block follows from December.
Jake Fraser-McGurk is back in international cricket in the T20 squad after an 18-month absence. Nathan Ellis is still recovering from a side strain picked up in late September, which rules him out of the 50-over leg, but he is set to return for the T20Is.
The series ahead
None of the eight matches in the Australia vs England White-Ball Series 2026 has been played yet. The first ODI is on Friday, 13 November at 9:00 AM IST, the second follows on Sunday, 15 November and the third on Wednesday, 18 November, both also at 9:00 AM IST. The first T20I is on Saturday, 21 November at 1:45 PM IST, the second on Tuesday, 24 November at the same time, and the series ends on 2 December.
Australia come into it after losing to South Africa by an innings and 31 runs in their last Test on 18 October. England arrive having beaten Sri Lanka by 55 runs on 29 October in the Pakistan ODI Tri-Series.
